6th Entry Bus Com Class
General Course of the Class:
Today we talked about SWOT analysis, 4P's and AIDA. SWOT analysis was to evaluate our traits as a company that will be proving education technologies services. In the breakout rooms we talked about how important it is to discuss the opportunities with the threats. Focusing on positive or negative side is not helpful to develop a unbiased perspective. Then Rab emphasized how important it is to actually be able to sell our product and focused on the pricing strategies of the product. It was actually really important to talk about it because we did not know how the higher education institutions in Japan (according to the information given by Rab) does not really care about using latest technologies that western universities use. Finally we focused on our audience and how we can make it attractive for them. The audience we all focus on is staff in the universities. It is both easy to reach out to them since we are in collage ourselves but seemed difficult to sell our product since it is not widely accepted in the universities. Today we we talked about our company, the product and the audience.
My Reaction:
As the head of my team there are couple problems I need to solve such as how to make a campaign, developing the right product and the what is expected us to present by asking Rab about this. First of all, we can search for what makes Japanese people more interested in a product. I will try delegating this step to my Zehra and wait the results from her findings. The we can develop our basic campaign strategy. Secondly, we focused on developing a product as Rab teaches us in the class about how to use technological platforms. I believe we can just make our own curriculum and make a 6-10 weeks program that we want to sell to institutions while being inspired by our Bus Com curriculum. I will personally focus on what are the other educational technologies we can use in our program. Lastly, the question we need to answer is if we are to make a product that is imaginary or that can really be derivable at the end of this semester? (For example, can we say that we developed a program that makes every student track their academic performance while instructors can give them personalized feedback much faster with the algorithm we provide blah blah..). With the answer to this question, I will lead Judy to make an animation on Canva based on the information we receive from the previous steps of campaign strategy and enhanced educational technology services that is free to use on the web.
